Out and about
November and December 2022
We love Christmas at Frodsham Manor House and take part in lots of countdown activities. Christmas events this year have included:
- Performing on stage at Frodsham Christmas Festival
- Taking part in the parade for Frodsham Christmas Festival (our theme was Sleeping Beauty) with lanterns by Year 6
- Decorating our tree at Frodsham Christmas Tree Festival (our theme was Rockin' Robins)
- Polar Express Day in Years 1 and 3
- Elf day with Reception
- Key Stage 1 and EYFS having an afternoon at the Brindley Theatre for their pantomime
- Tio de Nadal (Catalonian Christmas tradition) in Year 5
- Carol Service at Chester Cathedral with local schools
- The Choir singing at chatting for residents at Chapel Fields and Hillcrest residential homes
- The choir opening a Carol Concert in aid of Claire House at St George's Hall in Liverpool
- 3 Performances of our Nativity with Years 1 and 2, EYFS and Applebees called Bethlehem Bake Off
- The choir having a joint concert with Highfield Male Voice Choir
- Year 6 Entrepreneur Christmas Fair
- Learning to play Jingle Bells in Year 5 Wider Opps
- Year 2 visit to the Christmas Journey at Main Street Chapel
- Christmas Story Writing Competition
- Christmas Jumper Day
- Santa Dash
- Christmas Dinner
- Visits to our Candy Cane Advent Calendar and school Christmas Post Box
- Mystery Reader (Father Christmas) for Marvel Class
- Special assemblies on Advent with Rev Elaine and Christmas with Rev Andrew and Dean
- Whole school Carol Service at St Laurence's Church with Rev Elaine
- And finally a visit from Father Christmas on his sleigh helped by Frodsham and Helsby Rotary Club.
