Tim Peake Class
Year Five are taught by Mr Dempster and our teaching assistant is Mrs Bamford. We have Mrs Anstice on Thursday afternoons. During Year 5 we have a three night residential to the Conway Centre, Menai on Anglesey where we take part in lots of outward bound opportunities. There is also a bi-annual four night visit to France and Belgium alongside Year 6. Some of our most enjoyable topics include Space, The Rainforest, Ancient Civilizations and The Vikings. We love opportunities to get outside and enjoy our forest area in school and also have extra fun on Spread the Happiness days. Our class are trained to be Mental Health Champions and Play Leaders. We enjoy getting to learn an instrument in Wider Opps sessions with Mrs Anstice. We would love to show you our work so do come and visit us.

- How dark were the Dark Ages?
- How can we explore our world and beyond?
- How was life different for the Aztecs?
- What responsibilities do we have to our planet?
Who is Tim Peake?
Major Tim Peake is an astronaut who travelled into space in 2015. He is only the second Briton ever to achieve this feat. He has written a number of books based around his adventures in space and is also known for his educational videos on YouTube that he recorded whilst up in space, this included showing how to eat, wash and even play ping pong! Peake is an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and the Scout Association.
