A pupil is identified as having a Special Education Need/Disability (SEND) after a clear identification process is undertaken. Mrs Debbie Hughes is our school Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator SENDCo, having completed the National Accreditation for the Co-ordination of SEND, and is the central point of contact for SEND. Mr. Watts also holds this qualification and works in collaboration with Mrs. Hughes to monitor and assess that support commmited for a child ensures expected progress in line with specific targets.
We are an inclusive, mainstream maintained primary school that caters for children and young people with a wide range of needs who are able to demonstrate capacity for accessing the mainstream curriculum with reasonable adaptation and support. We have no specialist provision but liaise with professionals to meet the needs of pupils who demonstrate an ability to access the National Curriculum. We follow specific plans provided by external professionals to ensure our children meet their potential.
All local CW&C SEND information is now stored on this website.
