Christmas at Manor House 2023
We throughly enjoy the magical time that leads us through Advent to Christmas at Frodsham Manor House. This page gives a selection of the sort of activities which we take part in.
Our traditional Christmas is launched by the fabulous Frodsham Christmas Festival which was Saturday 25th November. The festival theme this year was "Let It Shine" with each school shining in different ways on their floats. Our shine was our light sabers and we went with a Star Wars theme. The choir performed on stage, looking and sounding great then we joined in with the parade. (Many of the Festival photos below are by Frodsham and District Photograhy Society and Luna Drone Services, thank you.)
The Choir are always busy at this time of year. With almost 50 members it is rare to see them all together and we often split into teams. We had a joint concert full of festive fun with Highfields Male Voice Choir, sang at Frodsham Festival, 3 residential care homes and the school Carol Service.
Year 1, 2, Reception and Applebees led our school Nativity which was called Baubles. There is a whole page of photos and videos from this production. Click here to visit.
We held our annual Christmas Story Writing Competition. Well done to all who participated. The winners were treated with a trip to Costa with Mrs Pye.
Two members of Year 5 accompanied Mr Watts to select our Christmas Tree. Many thanks to Frodsham Christmas Trees who donated the tree.
We had a Christmas fun day which included wearing our Christmas jumpers, hearing the Christmas Story winning entries in assembly, a Santa Dash around the Daily Mile and Christmas Dinner.
Rev Elaine and St Laurence's Church hosted our Carol Service. As always the church was packed with many families standing at the back.
On our last day we were delighted by a visit from Father Christmas with Frodsham and Helsby District Rotary. (We were reliably informed that the reindeer were safely waiting at the top of Frodsham Hill).
Frodsham Manor House wish all of our family and friends a very Happy Christmas and peaceful 2024.
